Two Balinese Masks Belinda Mello uses to teach actors how to physically embody characters.

Meetings with Masks:
The Simple, The Spiritual, The Silly
with Belinda Mello

Thursdays: Time 1pm-3pm
April 12th, 19th, and 26th
Class Fee: $95 for all 3 classes
(single classes $35)

Let’s spend some time celebrating our the unseen subconscious roots of our creativity. Moving and playing with masks brings us into contact with the ritual origins of acting. Masks can offer a release from ego and our preconceived notions of character. Masks, even as they conceal our faces, expose who we are. Masks can draw out your hidden impulses and unexpected facets of your imagination! The masks we will be interacting with invite very full embodiment.

In these three classes we will warm up with AT and movement. In session one we will play with neutral masks, in session two we will meet sacred and royal characters, in session three we will play with rascals and imaginary animals!
