Physical Actor Wanted
The key to an emotionally authentic performance is in the freedom of motion of the artist.
“Creating a bridge between energy and consciousness, between states of intensity and states of consciousness”
—Eugenio BarbaTo Move or Not to Move
How we move, or pause, reveals our intentions. The way we move brings color and depth to the character. Without the language of our bodies we are only exploring half the story of the text. Sometimes a physical choice tells the tale itself.
The Alexander Technique is the core of the Actors AT Motion technique

The demands on the actor are great: to express a rich emotional life through their bodies and voices, to believably respond in the moment, to tell a compelling story as though for the first time.
The Alexander Technique provides a means to undo what is getting in the way while becoming more available to impulses, vocal freedom and dramatic action.
Actors trained in this way are more confident of their sincerity and can express a greater range of characters.

Lessons and Coaching
An individual, targeted lesson can be an essential experience for the actor.
Private coaching assists within the rehearsal process as you are developing a character or the relationship between characters, incorporating a physical impediment into a performance or freeing the voice for a different dialect.
Group classes and workshops
Small group instruction allows the individual to benefit from the process of the group; sharing the experience of learning with others broadens the student’s perspective. For ensemble members, it promotes more dynamic interactions within the company.
